Expect bigger boobs in Mirrors Edge 2

Mirror-s-Edge-mirrors-edge-20840689-1920-1200

It appears 2 million copies is not enough for EA. They’re after more and they’re willing to sacrifice the style of one of their more unique IP’s for the chance to up the sales of the sequel. It’s a controversial opinion and even though I loved the original, I think the design was all the original game had, it looked gorgeous and the audio and the soundtrack were fantastic, it was however marred by it’s length and preordained corridor like levels, something I find rather humorous since the whole game see’s you fighting for the freedom of expression. Microsoft will no longer charge Devs to patch their games.

Image

Previously, developers publishing their software on the Xbox 360 were required to pay a fee to submit their games to microsoft’s certification process, but it has now been confirmed by multiple developers that Microsoft has dropped this fee entirely, in favour of creating a more open platform for indie devs and the like to publish their content on.

With so much pressure on Microsoft’s indie support with the upcoming Xbox One, when compared to the PS4′s huge indie library and claims of a much more open, and easy to develop for platform, it’s no surprise that Microsoft felt the need to make some changes.

Good to see that Microsoft are sticking with their new policy of doing the exact opposite of all their old policies then.

Was anybody actually pissed at this decision? I’ve read so many bitchy, whiny comments online “I’ve spent £60 to play online this year” and “How dare they begin to charge!” Like they have any idea what it costs to keep a service like Xbox Live or PSN running.
